RECORDING WORKSHOP for INDEPENDENT ARTISTS

featuring Nashville Studio Engineer/Producer CLIFF GOLDMACHER

 

This workshop is for singer/songwriters considering making a self-released CD.

Getting the most out of your indy recording.

The workshop will cover areas such as whether or not to hire a producer,

choosing a studio,

the pros and cons of recording yourself,

hiring session players,

getting vocals you're happy with,

mixing and mastering,

artwork, duplication, CD releases & sales, licensing, and much more.

There will also be a question and answer period at the end of the workshop.

 

Cliff Goldmacher has been in Nashville for 11 years.  Before opening his studio and production company, he was the assistant editor and advertising director of Performing Songwriter Magazine.  Cliff has also worked as a staff songwriter for Wrensong Music Publishing.  Since opening "Cliff's Walk-In Closet,” Cliff has recorded and produced over three dozen independent album projects for artists from Nashville and all over the country.  He’s worked with former Polygram Recording Artist, Tom Kimmel on several projects and been involved in recording and producing CD’s for hit songwriters Mark D. Sanders, Fred Koller and Jeff Cohen.  Cliff has also served as a panelist on engineering at the NAMM (National Association of Music Merchandisers) show in Nashville and currently teaches his recording workshop at BMI, NSAI and the Songwriter’s Guild.

The 2nd Tuesday Songs in Progress Workshop

January 11th, Tuesday Night, 7 to 9 pm

 

The 2nd Tuesday, Songs in Progress Workshop is held the 2nd Tuesday of every month.  Hosted by One Foot in the Grave’s Gavan Wieser, this workshop gets you some feedback from peers on your new or partially finished lyrics or songs.  You can present your work on CD, cassette, or live.  Bring a few lyric sheets.  Very casual atmosphere.

It’s an all day Saturday FREE event  10am to 4:30pm.

Songwriters performing their songs throughout the day!  Workshops and panel discussions all day on the music biz and songwritingSong Critiques
